National Children’s Day 2022
Tuesday 26 April 2022

On 15th May 22 we celebrate National Children’s Day. On this day, and the week leading up to it, we celebrate the great work that organisations do to help promote the rights of children. This year’s theme is “Choose Kind”, exploring how everyone can make the effort to be kind, but also exploring what makes people unkind.
Across Newcastle a wide range of support is available to children and families to promote a happy and healthy childhood.
Newcastle’s Local Offer hosts information, advice and support that young people with Special Educational Needs or disabilities (SEND) and their families can utilise. This support directory includes clubs and groups available to children, young people and their families.
Community Hubs across Newcastle offer a range of practical, education and wellbeing activities for babies, children, young people, and families. Including family support, children’s therapies, mental health support and childcare. They are shaped by their local communities across Newcastle North, East, Inner and Outer West.
Inspire Youth Tyne and Wear is a non-for-profit youth organisation, working across the city running juniors (5-11 years), inters (11-14 years), seniors (14-19 years) and girl’s groups (11-16 years) mentoring, outreach/detached sessions, school holiday hubs, disability and extra needs groups.
