Access to a school nurse for worried/anxious children and young people

The current situation (COVID-19) has raised the anxiety levels in a number of children and young people.
A level of anxiety is normal and a natural part of growing up, in the current climate some children and young people may experience a level of anxiety which may have an impact on their emotional wellbeing and school experience.
Gateshead Growing Healthy Team including school nurses are providing two virtual drop in clinics for young people, one to address emotional wellbeing issues and one to address general health concerns including sexual health, stop smoking service, friendship and bullying issues to name but a few.
